~News!~

Jul 05 2006
............................................................................

Greetings all. We recently just got back from a 5 day tour with This Time It's War. We would like to thank everyone that came out to the shows, TTIW and From Graves of Valor for being awesome bros, and everyone that conversed with us and gave us their hospitality.

The shows overall went pretty well, but of course a few crazy things happened as is expected by our touring endeavors. A few things to note:

Lynchburg, VA - The power went out 4 or 5 times in a relatively short time period. Micah's amp head died because of that, but we managed to play about 2 1/2 songs. Next time, Lynchburg..

Virginia Beach - Left Northern VA (notorious for traffic) in the middle of rush hour on the Friday of the 4th of July weekend but managed to get there in time to chill for a minute and then play.

Florence, SC - Playing a Pantera song in the south = fights = a short TOC set. We definitely do not condone fights, but should have saw this one coming..

Wilmington, NC - All day fest jamz, went pretty well. We love Wilmington.

We have some more weekends in the works, but the next huge thing that is going on is the Richmond Homegrown Fest which is an all day thing with bands from our locality. Should be really fucking good. Check shows page and our Myspace for details on everything. Word.

NEWS AND UPDATES

~Update!~

Jun 12 2006
............................................................................

Hey guys, just letting everyone know that the members of Time of Cholera are still alive and well. We have recently engaged ourselves in the writing process of our next full length, which remains untitled as of today (6/12/06). We have a handful of songs that we are working with right now, and hope to debut one or two during the summer. It's way too early to throw out any specific adjectives, but for now let's say that the newer material is more fierce yet natural. We are still way stoked about our latest EP offering, The Collapse of the Forsaken, which has been out for about six months now. You can purchase the cd (and our first length, The Sun Through Glass) online through Interpunk. You can also read some reviews of the Collapse EP here and here. For the rest of the summer and fall were going to be focused on writing this new album while actively playing as many shows as possible (mostly weekends, however). We have a decent number of out of the area shows coming up, including a 5 day stint with Richmond, VA's This Time It's War, so be sure to check those out in the shows section. Also if you havn't already, add us on MySpace. You know you want to!

NEWS AND UPDATES

~Back Home~

Jan 16 2006
............................................................................

Thanks to Ligeia and Century for making our winter tour the most memorable road experience yet! Seriously, lifetime friendships were made, and this is the kind of stuff that makes the long haul worthwhile. Apologies to Wilmington, we thought we were in the clear with our newly purchased van, but as fate would have it the front left bearing shattered, leaving us stranded 50 miles outside. Thankfully we made it back home, if only by the skin of our teeth. Despite vehicle failures, persistent illnesses, and various other assorted trauma-inducing experiences, we managed to return home late sunday evening.
We plan on settling into our new residences (three of us have moved), writing new material, and taking it easy for a bit.
The new ep is still and will always be available online at dancefacerecords.com, and we will soon have an online merch store ourselves, I promise.
Also look for some video footage from the DH show in week or so courtesy of videographer/roadie extraordinaire, Sam Daho. Sam is the man!

NEWS AND UPDATES

~ Sorry VA Beach!! | Darkest Hour on Saturday!! ~

Dec 09 2005
............................................................................

dudes!!

First off an apology is extended to Virginia Beach, we were really looking forward to playing Thursday with our buddies At All Cost but unfortunately a multitude of complications arose, causing us to miss the show. We will, however, be back in the area January 13th with Scarlet and The Esoteric, so it aint that bad.

Things are set for the show this Saturday with Darkest Hour, Ion Dissonance, and From A Second Story Window. You don't want to miss this show, I am telling you, so you might as well be in attendance. We just got our limited shipment of show-only cd's in today, and you will be able to pick one of those up for $7. Also, if the stars attain maximum alignment we will have a boatload of new merch in for this show.

And dont forget we will be shooting a video. We want this to be memorable, and that can only happen if you come out.

Understood?

~Yessss.~

............................................................................

Recording in Richmond went great, mad thanks to Chris our engineer for being an awesome dude and putting up with our lame jokes. The artwork also looks amazing, extreme props goes to Brandon (Visual Poetry Studios) for that one. We have a couple of weekends lined up, which you can check out on our shows page. We are also planning an outing with PA's CENTURY for the first half of January. This will be our first time hitting some of the north eastern states, so we are pretty stoked. The new EP will be out by winter, thanks to John @ DanceFace Records.

We also just dropped $800 to get our van fixed up. Ouch!

............................................................................

Okay.

We really regret to inform you guys that Love In The Time of Cholera will not be able to play the Through The Eyes of The Dead show on Friday, Sept 9 @ KC's in Fredericksburg, VA due to circumstances beyond our control. ( AND BELIEVE ME, ITS BEYOND. )

This sucks, but some of us will be there anyway because Through The Eyes of The Dead and This Time It's War are awesome!

Okay peace. Once again, our apologies!

NEWS AND UPDATES

~UPDATES - Recording and Shows~

Jul 19 2005
............................................................................

Hey guys, well we're back from tour and it was very awesome. Thanks to This Time It's War and Ty Beach for bro'in down with us at Mrytle Beach. Mad fun times. We'd also like to extenuate thanks to the dudes in Reflux, Ion Dissonance, and From a Second Story Window. All rad dudes!

Cholera is going to be in the studio at the end of September to record a new EP which will contain 5 tracks including a remix. We all agree that this will be our best release to date, in that the feeling of this EP is very 'whole'. It also features the heaviest material we have ever written! Excitement consumes..

Love in Time of Cholera and Locked in a Vacancy will be doing a weekend at the end of the month covering ground from SC up to PA. We'll also be doing a weekend with Century in mid-August. AND a Labor Day weekend in September is being planned with This Time It's War and Everything Falls Together. All of these bands are very good and intense; we definitely recommend their music. Check the shows page for more details.

In other-related news our singer Dick Thomas, along with others, will be working with EEBooking to take over duties for local promotions and local opening support. We hope that this turns a new leaf in our local scene, as the demise of 7+ band shows, shows that start at noon, etc will have seen their demise. (http://www.eebooking.com)

Thanks for reading and keep rocking like Dokken.
